Product description

The MLX92223 is a PCB-less 2-wire Hall-effect latch IC with integrated passives (emulates a 392Ω resistor and decoupling capacitor), making it compatible with industry-standard ECUs without the need for any additional external components.

The MLX92223 features advanced offset cancellation with programmable temperature coefficient, allowing the device to compensate for magnet variation. Additionally the MLX92223 offers reverse voltage protection with advanced thermal management to prevent damaging the device. Other features include reverse supply voltage protection and a current sinking configured output driver.

The MLX92223 is covering a wide operational voltage range (3.8 V to 16 V) and supporting an extensive operational temperature range (-40 °C to +150 °C). The device has a very high resilience to electrostatic discharge (ESD) phenomena, with 8kV human body ESD compliance thanks to the integrated decoupling capacitor.

The MLX92223 is mainly targeted for seat motor position applications but can also be applicable for other consumer and industrial applications.

The MLX92223 is available with a new packaging option to simplify module construction. This new UA package with integrated decoupling capacitor can eliminate the need for a PCB, reducing solder joints, improving reliability, reducing bill of materials allowing a lower cost solution.
